We are breeding for milk production as we are Shareholders and suppliers of The New Zealand Dairy Goat Co-operative. At the Factory near us in Hamilton, our milk is mainly manufactured into infant formula and exported around the world as well as being sold on the local Supermarket shelves. A smaller amount is made into UHT milk and sold in NZ.
We have a special interest in the Anglo-Nubian breed and also exhibit them in shows and expos. They have been successful in the show ring which is rewarding as we breed to attain high standards in their breed character and also milk production.
Our Anglo-Nubians and Saanens have been exported to various parts of the world
We are able to supply Semen and Embryos as well as livestock for export to different countries.
Anglo-Nubians are listed with the Rare Breeds Society in New Zealand, therefore the gene pool is quite small. We recently imported a shipment of Anglo-Nubian does and bucks from Australia that we went over and selected. This, we hope will benefit not only our own herd but other A.N herds in NZ.
